Alex founded Classic Remodeling with a clear vision: to build a remodeling company known for craftsmanship, integrity, and doing things the right way. He firmly believes there is a difference between “good enough” and true quality, and that philosophy continues to guide every project the company undertakes.
Before launching Classic Remodeling in late 2016, Alex spent many years working for local construction companies, gaining hands-on experience in nearly every aspect of residential remodeling. Along the way, he recognized an opportunity to offer homeowners something that was becoming increasingly difficult to find—a dependable remodeling contractor who values quality workmanship, honest communication, and lasting relationships.
That vision became Classic Remodeling.
Today, Alex remains personally involved in every project. From the initial consultation through the final walkthrough, he works closely with each client to ensure every detail meets the standards that have become the foundation of the company’s reputation. Every homeowner who chooses Classic Remodeling works directly with Alex, ensuring a consistent experience built on trust, transparency, and accountability.
Alex’s passion for building and problem-solving began long before his career. As a child, he was fascinated by machinery and figuring out how things worked. If something was broken, he would often take it apart, learn how it functioned, and put it back together—usually better than before. Growing up before online tutorials were readily available taught him to think critically, solve problems independently, and never stop learning. Those same skills continue to benefit homeowners every day, helping him find practical solutions to even the most challenging remodeling projects.
When he’s away from work, Alex enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible. Although he was born and raised in Illinois, he spent several years living out West during his childhood, an experience that shaped his appreciation for adventure, self-reliance, and the outdoors. Whether he’s camping, hiking, off-roading, exploring the Northwoods, cutting trails, or foraging with his family, you’ll usually find him outside whenever he has the chance.
He’s also an automotive enthusiast who enjoys restoring classic vehicles. His current project is a classic Ford truck that keeps him busy.
A Fun Fact About Alex
If there’s an opportunity to help someone, Alex is usually the first to volunteer. One memorable example involved driving across the country with a friend to retrieve a Civil War cannon from Montana. What started as a simple road trip quickly turned into an unforgettable adventure filled with unexpected detours, snowmobile mishaps, line dancing, and meeting some incredible people in rural Montana. Ask him about it sometime—it’s a story worth hearing.
For Alex, remodeling isn’t simply about creating beautiful spaces—it’s about earning a homeowner’s trust. He believes every project should be completed with the same level of care and attention to detail as if it were his Mother’s home. That commitment to quality, honesty, and doing things the right way has been the driving force behind Classic Remodeling since day one and continues to guide every project today.
Daria has been an integral part of Classic Remodeling since 2017. As Business Manager, she oversees the day-to-day operations that keep the company running smoothly. While much of her work happens behind the scenes, nearly every part of the business passes through her hands. From client communication and scheduling to accounts receivable, accounts payable, human resources, hiring, marketing, and office operations, Daria helps ensure every project stays organized and every client receives the attention they deserve.
Although Alex is often the face homeowners see, Daria has been part of Classic Remodeling since the very beginning. She was there as the company evolved from an idea into a growing business, supporting Alex through every stage of the journey. Together, they have built a company founded on quality craftsmanship, honest communication, and exceptional customer service.
Originally from Russia, Daria moved to the United States in the early 2000s to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer. That path led her into the bridal industry, where she spent more than a decade mastering both craftsmanship and leadership. During her career, she held a variety of roles, from seamstress and custom wedding gown designer to managing teams of seamstresses for a national bridal retailer. She also gained valuable experience managing both brick-and-mortar and online retail operations. The attention to detail, organization, and customer service she developed during those years continue to influence the way she approaches every aspect of the business today.
Joining Classic Remodeling full-time marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter, and it’s one she says she’s never regretted. She enjoys building relationships with clients, improving business processes, and helping create an experience that makes remodeling as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Outside the office, Daria enjoys spending time with her family in Wisconsin, especially during the summer and fall. Whether she’s foraging for wild mushrooms, exploring trails with Alex and their children, or taking long walks through the woods, she loves being surrounded by nature.
A Fun Fact About Daria
After taking a local beekeeping course, Daria began volunteering at a nearby apiary to gain hands-on experience. She’s looking forward to starting her own bee colonies and continuing to learn about the fascinating world of honeybees.
For Daria, a successful remodeling project is about more than the finished space—it’s about creating an organized, transparent, and enjoyable experience for every homeowner. She believes clear communication, thoughtful planning, and attention to detail are just as important as quality craftsmanship.
